Le préposé au grenaillage enlève manuellement tout métal excédentaire et débarrasse, à l’aide d’un système de projection à billes d’acier, toutes matières indésirables se retrouvant sur la remorque afin de créer un fini rugueux sur lequel la peinture adhérera bien. Il déplace l’unité à l’aide du pont-roulant en respectant les mesures de sécurité.
